The Gods Gave Me My Father's Wife

The premise

Prince Theron returns home to a new stepmother, Queen Lysandra — the woman from his dreams. The platform's brief has shared visions pull them into a forbidden affair, and states the ending: caught, banished, then offered both the wife and the crown by the king who could never satisfy her.

How it is built

Five episodes with the full arc declared in the brief, including its resolution, which almost nothing else in the catalogue does. That makes the run a question of how rather than what, and the five episodes have to carry visions, affair, discovery, banishment and offer — a lot of plot for the catalogue's shortest standard length.

Who it is for

Readers who want the fantasy framing applied to the stepfamily material that dominates the rest of the catalogue. Sworn to the Queen and Claimed by the Dragon Queen share the court setting; My Father's New Queen is the same premise without the fantasy.
