Privacy

What this site stores, why, and how to get rid of it. Short version: very little.

The short version

No account, no email address, no newsletter, no ad networks, and no cross-site tracking. The only things stored are what the age check and the voting need to work.

Age check

Your confirmation that you are of age is kept as a single entry in your browser’s localStorage (csh-age-ok). It never leaves your device. Clear your browser data and the prompt comes back.

Voting

The first time you vote, we set a cookie called csh_voter holding a random identifier. It is tied to nothing — no name, no email, no profile — and exists only so your own votes can be recognised, letting you take one back and stopping the same series being voted for twice. The cookie expires after two years.

Alongside a vote we also store a truncated hash of your IP address, salted with a server-side secret. It exists solely to rate-limit bulk voting, cannot be reversed back into an address, and the address itself is never written down.

If server-side voting is unreachable, the site falls back to localStorage. In that case nothing leaves your device at all, and the votes count for you alone.

Affiliate links

Links to Candy AI carry a partner token. Follow one and Candy AI learns the visit came from here, at which point their privacy policy applies rather than ours. What comes back to us is an aggregate count of sign-ups, never anything that identifies a person.

Server logs

The web server keeps technical error logs, as every web server does. They are not analysed and not shared.

Removing everything

Clear site data for this domain: that removes the age confirmation and the voting cookie. Without the cookie a cast vote can no longer be linked back to you — it holds nothing pointing at you in the first place. To have a specific vote removed, take it back on the series page first, or get in touch.
