Boys Not Allowed

The premise

Ava hosts a girls' night and sends her boyfriend to the bedroom. Twenty minutes into the film she is asleep on the couch, and her best friend — who is also his stepsister — comes to find him. The brief quotes her: "You're allowed now, stepbro."

How it is built

Five episodes over a single evening, with the clock doing the structural work: a party downstairs, a sleeping girlfriend, and a window that closes when she wakes. That is a tighter frame than most of the catalogue allows itself.

Who it is for

Readers who prefer a run with a built-in deadline. Veronica's Fitting Room and Midnight Compartment use the same trick — a fixed window rather than an open-ended situation.
