The premise
A father goes away fishing for the weekend and leaves his wife, Riley, in charge of his son, who is back from college for a couple of days. Over lunch she probes about his love life, then admits she enjoys the way he looks at her, which his father never does. The platform's brief adds that her interest predates the weekend; he simply had not noticed.
How it is built
The first free episode establishes the terms and ends on a film night; the second puts them side by side on the sofa when the father rings, and the call is conducted with everyone lying calmly. She repeatedly tells him he can call a halt, and he never does. Those two episodes are free; the other three cost 30 tokens each, 90 for the rest of the weekend.
Who it is for
Anyone after the most straightforward of the 30-token household series: one house, one weekend, no meta-jokes and no ensemble. Viewers who prefer comedy about a houseguest's past fame should look at My Wife's Best Friend; those after the same family set-up at the standard price have Date With My Stepmom.
What works
- The phone call with the father is a genuinely tense set piece
- A recurring offer to stop gives the episodes a clear shape
- No reliance on in-jokes: it works as a plain story
What does not
- Only one evening of build-up before it commits
- A sunny but generic poster that could front any poolside title
