The more fantastical of the two religious-framing series, and the looser of the two structurally.

The premise
A traveller takes shelter from a storm at a remote chapel. The storm is a device to get everyone in one place and keep them there, and the series does not pretend otherwise.
How it is built
Five episodes. Where The Nun in Our Guest Room runs on a deadline, this one runs on atmosphere — the isolation is the engine. That makes it the weaker construction but the stronger mood piece, and the pacing is looser as a result.
Who it is for
Worth it if the setting is the draw. If you want the same framing with a tighter build, start with the other one.
What works
- Strongest sense of place in the series we have opened
- Isolation premise justifies the confined cast
- Findable under its own title
What does not
- No clock and no mechanism — the middle episodes drift
- Loosest pacing of anything reviewed here
