The premise
Jake moves in with his girlfriend and meets her stepmother, who starts with a single rule and then keeps adding to it. A household tradition follows that no one warned him about, and by the time her husband returns, everyone understands what is going on except Jake.
How it is built
Five episodes suit a stepwise escalation rather than a sprawling story, and the brief lays out the steps in order before landing on the husband's return. Two episodes are free; unlocking the other three costs 36 tokens at 12 each.
Who it is for
For readers who enjoy a protagonist who is the only one not in on the arrangement. My Best Friend's Mom Has One Rule and Got Stuck With My Girlfriend's Stepmom work the rules-and-partner's-family angle too.
Good to know
- 5 episodes, 2 free, 36 tokens for the rest
- Escalates from one rule to a family tradition
- The husband's return is the pivot the brief builds towards
