I Picked Up a Hitchhiker

The premise

On a deserted road through the desert, a woman waiting for a lift is picked up by a man the synopsis itself describes as utterly average, at the wheel of a truck that has seen better days. That is the entire published set-up.

How it is built

With a brief this sparse, the premise is the contrast between the two and the isolation of the road; five episodes is space for that one journey rather than a larger story. Two are free, and the remaining three cost 12 tokens each, 36 in total.

Who it is for

Suits readers who like a stranger-meets-stranger set-up and an everyman lead. Midnight Compartment is another travel series built around a confined space.
